The Association of Malaysian Optometrists (AMO), in collaboration with the Asia Optometric Congress (AOC) and Vision Science Institute, is thrilled to present the Vision Therapy (VT) 101 & 102 Workshop, an International Course. This 4-day VT workshop will be led by Mr. Tom Headline, a certified optometric vision therapist (COVT), and a distinguished speaker accredited by the College of Optometrists in Vision Development (COVD), along with Dr. Maia Uy, a fellow of the Vision Science Institute (VSI), FVSI, FILVS, FAOC.
𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗩𝗧𝟭𝟬𝟭:
This course is tailored for entry-level optometrists aiming to delve into vision therapy. Participants will gain insights into the visual process and the tools utilized by vision therapists, supervised by optometrists, to address various visual issues. Moreover, attendees will learn specific vision therapy procedures to enhance individual visual skills and adapt these techniques to suit the needs of their patients.
𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗩𝗧𝟭𝟬𝟮:
Building upon VT101 concepts, VT102 further enhances participants’ understanding of VT Tools and Techniques. This course introduces advanced therapeutic applications of color techniques (overlays/tints/Syntonics-Optometric Phototherapy) and prism and lens techniques in the VT Room, along with a deeper dive into Biocular Therapy techniques.
*Earn 10 CPD Points under the A3 category, claimable for Malaysian Optometrists.
Certificates of Participation, co-signed by AMO, will be issued by the Asia Optometric Congress through its Academy of Behavioural Optometry (AOC-ABO).
