The Association of Malaysian Optometrists (AMO) successfully organized a vision and eye health screening program in commemoration of World Sight Day 2023, which carried the theme “Love Your Eyes at Work.” This event took place at the Malaysian Parliament on October 11th and 12th, 2023, and was graced by the presence of YB Dr. Zaliha Mustafa, the Minister of Health Malaysia, who officiated the ceremony. We extend our heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to YB for inaugurating this program.
This celebration serves as a platform to raise awareness about the primary eye care role of optometrists and aims to help the public differentiate between optometric practices and eyeglasses shops.
